Above is the link that will take you to the web site to enable you to book a fly in slot for the Great Vintage Flying Weekend.
We realise that slot times are not popular and with this in mind the slot time is to be used as a guide as to when you think you will arrive at the event. They are used to try and spread the arrivals throughout the time available; it would be appreciated if you could arrive within 30 minutes either side of the selected slot time.
Slots times are part of our safety case to the CAA of being able to run this event as a FISO service rather than a full ATC service. We have also had to put a limit on numbers, but having said that, we have made more slots available this year so that more of you can attend.
In the case of weather causing problems then please try and make the event when you can, as long as you have a slot number we will accept you.
If a slot time cannot be selected then it means all slots have been booked. It is worth checking back periodically as cancelled slots will come available as we get closer to the event. Our experience over the last few years of organising these events show that up to 25% of people booking slots will either cancel within the final 48 hours or just not arrive. We will make all slots available as late as possible.
Please let us know as soon as you become aware that you will not be able to use the slot you have been allocated as this can then be made available to someone else.
Please do not book a slot if you plan to arrive Friday 7th, just PPR in the normal way. Camping is available throughout the weekend.
