The Great Vintage Flying WeekEnd (G-VFWE) will be held on the North Side of Cotswold Airport with the entrance signposted off the A433 via North Gate (Sat Nav GL7 6PJ). This was the site used very successfully over the previous G-VFWE events at Kemble and also last year for The Battle of Britain Weekend.
Please Note: There will be no access from the A429 Main Gate.
This year, the G-VFWE will incorporate a short flying display of historic aeroplanes to further enhance its charm as a truly nostalgic aviation event. Details of the aircraft displaying will be announced in due course.
As well as the huge collection of aircraft there will also be entertainments for kids, full catering and bar facilities, making it more than just a Vintage Flying weekend.
The basic structure and approximate timings of the day will be:
0830 - 1330 - Arrival Slots for Aircraft
1300 - 1500 - Vintage park open to the public
1400 - 1500 - Flying display featuring vintage aeroplanes
Aircraft departures will start as soon as the flying display ends.
Air Atlantique aircraft and local based operators will provide pleasure flying all day.
