Welcome to the all new Great
Vintage Flying Weekend website

NEWS FLASH, AUGUST 2008
We are delighted to announce that the Great Vintage Flying Weekend
will be relaunched in 2009 on the weekend of 9th - 10th
May. Last month a successful agreement was reached with
Kemble Air Services Ltd., as a result of which they now own the
event and the G-VFWE brand. This takeover should, even in these
uncertain times, ensure the event's future and its further development.
Kemble Airfield itself has already been the venue for three previous
stagings, and will prove to be a well-equipped and well-resourced
base for future operations.
The existing team of 'volunteers and pressed men' have been invited
to continue their various roles alongside Kemble's Management
Team.
All pilots and staff should have received written
notification of these changes by the time this notice is posted
on our website. Press Releases have also been issued.
In a joint statement, Glen Moreman (Kemble's Event Manager) and
Terry Booker (Vintage Flying) expressed mutual confidence that
the event would continue to retain its emphasis on vintage and
classic civil aircraft, together with its unique atmosphere of
informality underpinned by robust safety planning.
(Expect further updates later). Meanwhile watch this: Kemble
mini-site.
